Sol Tea is an adoption-focused rescue cat cafe operating as a Type B Continuing Employment Support facility—serving both rescue cat welfare and employment support for people with disabilities and those facing work barriers. The cafe's origin story is profound: a critically injured kitten collapsed on the office stairs with severe internal trauma. After emergency surgery and recovery, that kitten—named Sol—inspired the founders to create Sol Tea. The mission intertwines: providing disabled workers meaningful employment, supporting rescued cats to find loving homes, and creating a peaceful sanctuary environment. Four rescue cats currently reside: Sol (initial survivor with a cautious nature), Haru (reserved, food-motivated), Kai (affectionate, from a hoarding situation), and Pon-tai (from a breeder, loves belly rubs). Adoption requires two prior visits, strict conditions apply (age 20+, lifelong commitment, home inspection, financial stability, no smoking around cats, etc.).
