Santa Fe Cat Cafe

Santa Fe Cat Cafe arrived as the city's first cat cafe and one of only two in New Mexico when it opened on February 6, 2024. Founded by father-daughter duo Carrie Reyes and Barry Bruner as a gathering place combining community, hospitality, and rescue work, the cafe is currently operated by Ashley and Conor Maguire, who acquired it in August 2025 while maintaining its original mission. The venue is situated in Santa Fe's Baca Railyard and features a carefully designed layout that prioritizes feline wellbeing while offering guests a calm, memorable experience. All resident cats are adoptable and sourced from local rescues: Felines & Friends, 9 Lives Rescue, and Espanola Humane, with each rescue organization managing its own adoption process.

The physical space intentionally supports a stress-reducing environment with thoughtful cat accommodations, including an outdoor catio—a unique addition among cat cafes. The lounge operates on a 50-minute visit model priced at $10 per person, with reservations recommended particularly for weekends when the cafe reaches capacity.
