Good Luck Cat Cafe is the adoption and fundraising office of
Lady Luck Animal Rescue, located in Fort Lauderdale's Progresso Plaza near the FAT Village Arts District and Flagler Village. This is a unique model: entry is completely free—the cafe runs solely on donations and word of mouth. This donation-based approach creates an atmosphere of genuine respect and reciprocity rather than transactional pressure.
Open seven days a week from 11 AM to 5 PM (except major holidays), Good Luck welcomes walk-ins without reservations or timed limits. The space is small but never overcrowded, and cats have free roam throughout the entire cafe. All kittens and cats are fully vetted, up to date on age-appropriate shots, spayed/neutered, and microchipped—ready for their forever homes. The volunteer-run staff is kind, friendly, informative, and genuinely invested in the rescue mission. Refreshments include K-cup coffee, bottled water, juice, and fairly priced packaged snacks. Cat merchandise is available for purchase, and every dollar goes directly toward cat rescue efforts and care.
Adoption fees are $100 per cat and include a home visit before completion of the process. Lady Luck Animal Rescue, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, believes it's their moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless cats—giving each one immediate health screening, treatment for any medical conditions, and careful matching with suitable adoptive families. Visitors consistently praise the cleanliness of the space, the healthy and well-cared-for cats and kittens, and the genuine heart behind the organization. This is a place where you can spend quality time cuddling special kitties while supporting a mission that truly makes a difference.
