The proprietor, Shigeru Shigemorin, personally raised most of the 14 cats currently in residence—a commitment evident in the animals' calm, well-socialized demeanor and diverse personality spectrum (naturally playful, mischievous, contemplative). Operating since the establishment's founding, Cateriam maintains rigorous health protocols: annual vaccinations, consistent parasite management, and meticulous behavioral monitoring ensure cats thrive emotionally and physically. The venue actively partners with rescue organizations, particularly regarding adoption services, and maintains a reverent memorial shrine honoring deceased residents (Yume, Guri, Ben, Goma, and others)—a poignant reminder of staff's genuine emotional bonds with each resident.

The visitor experience centers on informed, respectful feline interaction guided by knowledgeable staff. Cats present varied temperaments: Shiro is a heavy-coated chinchilla silver male prone to shyness; Dory, a ragdoll, prefers water-drinking from sinks and hand-licking affection; Dress, a rescue mix, demands gentle approach due to shyness and occasional nipping; Tsuki is a confident, playful tabby girl; imported rescue cats like Marie, Mine, and siblings Agatha & Holmes arrived from Okinawa via rescue organization Neko Maru Cafe. The facility features comfortable seating, manga reading materials, gaming consoles (PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch), and a merchandise corner. Birthday visitors receive cat photo shoots with digital editing (logo/date insertion optional); children under middle school receive cat card photo gifts (with 30+ minute minimum visits). Staff meticulously supervise child interactions, addressing disruptive behavior firmly—younger visitors (under 10) require parental supervision; those under 5 are prohibited.

Pricing: 1 hour ¥1,200 (one soft drink included; alcohol additional ¥450); 1 hour without drink ¥1,000; trial visits 15 min ¥300 or 30 min ¥500 (no drinks).
