About Cat Café MOFF Pearlridge Center
Cat Café MOFF Pearlridge Center, located in Aiea near Pearl Harbor, operates within the state's second-largest shopping mall. Like its sister location at International Marketplace, this cafe maintains MOFF's Japanese-inspired approach to feline welfare and visitor experience. The cafe is accessible to walk-in visitors without reservations, with flexible ticketing available in 30-minute ($23) or 60-minute ($28) increments, each including a complimentary beverage. Staff guide visitors through the cafe's procedures and interaction guidelines, emphasizing respect for the cats' boundaries and personalities, with cats wearing colored collars that indicate their interaction preferences. The approximately 20 cats—all imported from Japan—are well-cared-for residents of the space, with reviews consistently praising their health, cleanliness, and the staff's genuine dedication to their welfare.
What distinguishes Pearlridge Center is its exclusive private event booking offering, making it the only MOFF location in Hawaii to provide this service. The cafe can be reserved for 90-minute private parties, with packages accommodating up to 12 or 16 people at $360 and $450 respectively. Event packages include exclusive space usage, complimentary bottled beverages and cat snacks per person, free birthday cake for the cats, and special photo opportunities with feline residents. This setup makes the venue ideal for birthdays, family anniversaries, office gatherings, and other celebrations, with optional add-ons like frappe treats, crunchy snacks, branded cat pins, and even stocked beverage preferences available with advance notice.
The visitor experience centers on relaxation and observation rather than intensive play, with reviews highlighting the calm, collected nature of the cats and the value of mid-day feeding times around noon when staff introduce the cats and their personalities while guests can offer treats via provided spoons. The cafe provides lockers for belongings and pagers to alert visitors when their time is complete. Character merchandise—including tote bags, mini figures, towels, and cat pin buttons ranging from $4 to $16—is available for purchase, adding to the experience for those seeking a keepsake.
