Beans Cat Cafe represents a labor of love founded by Jessica and Justin Strika, who invested two years in planning followed by five months of owner-operated DIY construction before opening in 2023. A second location in New Paltz, NY launched in July 2023, expanding the cafe's regional footprint. As of now, Beans has facilitated over 550 cat adoptions through its partnership with Hudson Valley Animal Rescue & Sanctuary (HVARS).
